Villa Kerasan is located at Desa Kerasan which is a private community of six cottage homes situated in the hills of Ubud, Bali. It was developed using a “common-sense” green design/build program, which produces smartly tailored, efficient, and soulful buildings. The building designs were inspired by regional vernacular and American Arts & Crafts.

The homes feature an extensive use of vintage teak timber, natural stone, clay & grass. Reclaimed old-growth teak was exclusively used for all new doors, windows & cabinetry. Classic antique Indonesian teak doors & windows were incorporated into each home plan as well. The stainless steel, brass, & bronze, lighting fixtures and other metal work were designed and produced solely for Desa Kerasan.

Completed in 2013, Desa Kerasan was designed & built by architect David Collins.
Villa Kerasan interior was designed by the owner who also own very reputable interior design firm base in Jakarta.
